Lainey’s golden hour senior session in Oklahoma had one clear vision: warm, glowy light from start to finish. We planned three looks across two of my favorite Oklahoma locations: the Oklahoma State Capitol and Lake Arcadia, and chased that warm, glowy light through every single setup. If you’re looking for an Edmond senior photographer or senior portraits in the Oklahoma City metro, this session is what’s possible.

Lainey wanted variety, so we built the session around three outfits: a floral strapless dress, a white ruffled top with dark jeans, and a pink top with white pants. Each look got its own backdrop, and the golden light tied them all together.

We started at the Oklahoma State Capitol, where the grand carved doors and classic architecture make every senior look timeless. Lainey’s pink top and white pants popped perfectly against the dark bronze doors, proof that the Capitol grounds are one of the best senior photo locations in Oklahoma City. We also got a few along the walkway with the gorgeous lighting coming through the trees in front of the Capitol.

Then we headed to Lake Arcadia in Edmond for the open field at sunset. This is where the golden hour look really shines — warm light, tall grass, and that effortless glow. Her white ruffled top was made for this light.

We finished in the water at Lake Arcadia as the sun dropped low. Some of my favorite senior portraits in Oklahoma happen right at the shoreline in that last ten minutes of light.
